Saturday down by the river
I got up after sleeping in this morning and walked out on the floating docks to watch folks who were hand line crabbing. They had only caught 4 keepers. Apparently there is a lot of crabbing and fishing for rock fish out of the campground. They are expecting the bigger rockfish to start moving in soon. I only showed part of the ordering process, but this spread was the result. We had a hot pot where the white side was mild and the darker side was spicy. Different things were added to the soup and cooked and then eaten. Dessert which is not shown was shaved rice with a strawberry sauce similar to a snow cone, but real fruit.
Ordering is almost an art form here in Taiwan. My good friend Nick is ordering at the Szechuan Restaurant where we ate last night.
I really like the ticket reader at the Beijing Airport that says thank you every time a ticket is read. I thought I was needing to get on board or I would have tried to get a longer clip of this when the line was moving quickly. Xai Xai is thank you. I think phonetically it is more like shay shay.
It was a long walk to the gate, but there were moving sidewalks.
AJ’s traveling with me has come to an end. I am in the NW Lounge in Narita and heading to Beijing in about 3 hours.

Here comes a train headed from Tokyo towards Nagoya. AJ and I ended the day by catching the train back to Tokyo.
Tradition has it that if you eat a black egg boiled in the Hot Springs in Hakone, you will add 7 years to your life. AJ and I each ate 3 as they sold them at a minimum of 6 at a time. The minerals in the water cause the outer shell to turn black.

The set up the tuna in rows and blocks for the bidding process seems to be tough work. It appears the fish are flash frozen at sea and brought into the market
